Genesis Clearly Say God Created Everything In Six Days

Something I find amazing is the atheists read Genesis and they git it... God created everything in six days. Some Christians read Genesis and deny what it clearly says. Why? It seems the reason is that they are trying to reconcile what THEY THINK science reveals with what the Bible says. But that's a big problem. They are putting their trust in "science," and not in God. Evolution has been proven to be impossible (more on that here). The reason why secularists still claim evolution happened is because they have to. Otherwise they will be accountable to God.

six days of creation

If you are going to claim evolution is true, that means God did not create EVERYTHING in six days, as clearly stated by Genesis. You then have to deny that the word "day" in Genesis 1 does not refer to a 24 hour day. The original Hebrew does not allow that. Genesis 1-11 is not written in the style of Hebrew poetry, the grammar and style is that of a historical narrative. And the use of the Hebrew word for day ("yom"), is the way it is used when speaking of a 24 hour day. The links below go to articles that examine this aspect in greater detail.

The issue addressed in the video is that raised by Exodus 20:11. This verse is in the context of Moses giving the Ten Commandments, and in particular the Sabbath day rest. Here is what it says:

“Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is a sabbath of the Lord your God; in it you shall not do any work, you or your son or your daughter, your male or your female servant or your cattle or your sojourner who stays with you. For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea and all that is in them, and rested on the seventh day; therefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day and made it holy. - Exodus 20:8-11

It's Six Days

In prescribing the seventh day of the week as a Sabbath, these verses are clearly talking about a six day work week, followed by a Sabbath on the seventh day. The source of this is described as coming from creation week in which God "worked" for six days (creating everything) and then "rested" on the seventh. This is not a metaphor nor is it poetic. Exodus 20 plainly and clearly talks about God creating in six 24 hour days, confirming what Genesis one says.

YOU DON'T HAVE A CHANCE
WITHOUT JESUS

headlights coming

What you believe does not determine reality nor truth. That would make you god. But you ARE NOT god. You don't control the universe. You cannot change reality. Let's try an experiment. At about midnight stand in the middle of the road just around a corner where it is hard to be seen... at night, wearing all black. When headlights start lighting up the curve, just believe that whatever is coming does not exist. Stand firm, if you don't believe a vehicle is coming, then nothing is coming. You are perfectly safe... until reality hits.

You are now standing before Jesus. You are dead. It's judgment day. You don't want to believe it's Jesus and you will be judged. But it is. That's reality.

Judgment only takes a moment, the verdict is obvious, and you know it is correct. You are guilty. You've lied, stolen and sexually lusted after others (Matthew 5:28)... you have disobeyed God. Trusting Jesus is the only answer, but it's too late. You had your last chance just before you died.

You know it's no use to protest, but still you scream out, 'I didn't know!'

But you did know. All of creation declared God's glory, His invisible attributes, and His power. You have no excuse. You willingly rejected Jesus Christ (God).

Is this you? Are you saying, 'Hell isn't so bad, I'll be with my friends.' You know that's not true. There are no friends in hell. No beer... not even water to cool your lips. There is NOTHING good in hell.

So I beg you, consider these words. Trust Jesus as having paid your penalty for every way you've have rejected God. Trust Jeus to save you from hell and bring you into the presense of God.

Trust Jesus. Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved. - Acts 16:31
